* In order to prove your foreign language proficiency, you need to submit your YDS (a National language proficiency exam conducted by ÖSYM) exam result or the result of an equivalent exam that is acknowledged by ÖSYM. If you graduated from a university, which has an accredited Foreign Language School, within last three years, instead of YDS result you can alternatively submit a formal letter from your university explaining this situation to prove your foreign language proficiency.

** PhD students who complete their course liabilities are needed to register to “Guided Research” course on Fall and Spring semesters until being successful at PhD qualifying exam. After being successful, students need to register “Thesis” course until graduation. Following being successful at qualifying exam, if the students are found successful at thesis proposal, “thesis” course grade should be enter as either P (progress) or NP (not progress) depending on the related monitoring minute results.

*** Thesis defense exams of graduate programs with thesis could be at the earliest 15 days and the latest 40 days following the submission of thesis copies to the Graduate School along with the “Exam Application and Jury Proposal Form” which are send by the head of department.
